The Maritime Training Academy (MTA) was founded by Ian Biles — BB Yachts Agency’s own Independent Marine Surveyor, Naval Architect, and Captain with over 35 years of worldwide experience. MTA delivers internationally recognised online diplomas and certificates trusted by seafarers, shore-based specialists and marine industry employers worldwide.
Training courses cover superyachts, ship operations, surveying, maritime law, marine safety and more. Each MTA course is designed to provide specialist knowledge, student support, and learning flexibility to further maritime careers — study from anywhere in the world, at your own pace.
